Sandra Campbell

Inspiration is all around if we only care to look: Cloud formations or a vivid sunset, an image in a magazine, viewing art in galleries and museums, or collaborating with other artists. Regardless of the source, color is what fires my imagination and is often enhanced in my work. Pastels are generally based on my own photos and are produced on sanded paper that accepts multiple layers of color. Many surfaces work for collage—watercolor paper, matboard, canvas—and many types of paper can be used. Sometimes I paint my own using white rice paper or archival tissue. More work can be viewed on my website.
